Real Star Sri Hari Joins Jagan Party

SRIHARIAfter much dilly dallying, villain-turned-hero of Telugu films “real star” Srihari has decided to join YSR Congress party headed by jailed Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Srihari, who gained much popularity with his aggressive role of “Share Khan” in the blockbuster film “Maga Dheera,” called on Jagan in Chanchalguda jail during the regular mulaqat on Friday. After a brief meeting, he came out and declared that he was going to join YSR Congress party.

“I will prove a real Share Khan in politics, too. I am going to contest the next elections on behalf of YSR Congress party ticket,” Srihari said

Though Srihari had played some role in politics earlier, he had never been in active politics. He was once a staunch supporter of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and made a futile attempt for Congress ticket during 2009 elections for Secunderabad or Malkajgiri assembly constituency. Later, he tried to join the erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi expecting a ticket from Pedana constituency in Krishna district, but it also did not work out. Subsequently, he campaigned for then PCC chief D Srinivas in Nizamabad by-elections in 2010. Later, he remained silent.

A few weeks ago, Srihari disclosed to his fans that he would come back to active politics. He said he would prefer such a party which was always in the people, fighting for their cause. Finally, he chose YSR Congress.
